 Project Sector:

1.  WHY THE PROJECT?

The project's primary objective is to establish a professional sewing training center, with the aim of empowering women in rural areas through skill development and facilitating their financial independence. Sustainability and women's empowerment are pivotal goals in this initiative. It is imperative that society safeguards and uplifts women through educational and skill development programs, particularly in rural settings where women often encounter barriers to accessing education and employment opportunities. This project is dedicated to advancing women's prospects by providing them with professional sewing training. This training equips rural women with valuable expertise, empowering them to either establish their own businesses or secure gainful employment, ultimately promoting self-reliance and economic empowerment.

     CORE INITIATIVE

In the Sui Dhaga Project, an initiative led by our NGO, we are dedicated to environmental sustainability. We undertake the recycling of plastic from complete bottles to produce valuable raw materials. These recycled materials form the basis for crafting a diverse range of products. Our primary goal is not manufacturing for commercial purposes but rather environmental conservation and empowerment.

By upcycling plastic in this manner, we aim to reduce plastic waste, contribute to a cleaner environment, and promote sustainable practices within the community we serve. This initiative also plays a crucial role in generating economic opportunities for women involved in the project, empowering them to become self-sufficient and contributing members of society.

Through this endeavor, we are stitching together a brighter, more sustainable future for our community, all while preserving the environment we cherish.

2.  BENEFITS: -

·  The gender disparity is projected to result in an economic loss of approximately 15% of the GDP. Empowering women contributes to heightened productivity, enhanced economic diversification, and reduced income inequality.

·   Women's empowerment through skill development.

·   Fostering women's financial independence.

·   Encouraging the government's "Make in India" campaign.

·  When women undergo continuous skill development, their dependence on government support diminishes. These effects also extend to their children, producing a long-lasting positive influence on economic progress.

Empower women through the Sui Dhaga Project.
