NUTRITION SUPPORT PROGRAM: MADAD

Roopaantar Nature and Health Organisation, with the generous CSR support of Jaguar Resources and Capital Pte. Ltd., is spearheading a comprehensive Nutrition Support Program dedicated to Nourishing Young Lives for a more resilient future. This initiative focuses on the consistent provision of raw materials and essential grocery supplies to ensure that underprivileged and marginalized students in Aspirational and Tribal regions receive three nutritious meals—Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner—every single day. By addressing the fundamental need for food security, the project creates a foundation for better health and academic focus among children who otherwise face significant nutritional deficits.

Objectives

  • Ensure Food Security: To provide consistent access to High-Quality Raw Materials and Groceries for three full meals daily.

  • Combat Malnutrition: To improve the physical health and BMI of students across Tribal and Aspirational districts.

  • Support Education: To reduce Hunger-related Distractions, thereby increasing school attendance and improving cognitive performance.

  • Targeted Outreach: To reach the most Vulnerable Populations in remote and marginalized regions that often fall outside the traditional support net.

Linkage to SDGs

  • SDG 2 (Zero Hunger): Directly working to End Hunger and ensure access by all people to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food all year round.

  • SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being): Reducing the Incidence of Malnutrition-related illnesses and promoting healthy development in children.

  • SDG 4 (Quality Education): Supporting the "Right to Learn" by ensuring students are well-fed and capable of participating in classroom activities.

  • SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities): Bridging the Nutritional Gap for students in Tribal and Underserved regions compared to urban centers.

Impact

  • Nutritional Stability: Guaranteed daily access to balanced meals for hundreds of students, eliminating the uncertainty of food scarcity.

  • Improved Health Outcomes: Expected reduction in stunted growth and anemia among the targeted student population.

  • Enhanced Learning Capacity: Noticeable Improvement in student concentration levels, energy and overall academic engagement.

  • Community Empowerment: Strengthening the local social fabric by supporting the holistic development of the next generation in tribal areas.
