URBAN PLANTATION
Drum Plantation, a Roopaantar initiative, supported by e-Infochips
- An Arrow Company as part of its CSR activities, is deeply committed to
environmental sustainability with a vision for a greener India. Our primary
focus is on Urban Area Plantation and the creation of green belts. Our
initiative stands out because we establish drum plantations in areas that lack
any scope of plantation.
In our urban area plantation initiative, in the cleanest
city of India- Indore, we adopt a comprehensive approach. Beyond creating green
spaces, we actively promote awareness through impactful slogans to be written
on drums. Collaborating closely with local municipalities, we ensure the
success and sustainability of our efforts. To date, 600 plants have been
planted, with a target of achieving 1500 plantations, resulting in the generation
of 600 days of employment and the absorption of 12000 kg CO2 annually.
Our unique initiative extends to various locations,
including bridges and underpasses, where space constraints challenge
traditional planting methods. By repurposing waste drums as planters, we
introduce greenery to spaces that would otherwise remain vacant. What
distinguishes this initiative is our commitment not only to plant trees but
also to raise awareness. Meaningful slogans on topics such as ‘Save Greenery’,
‘Save Water’, ‘Say no to Alcohol’, Abiding Traffic Rules’ etc. are inscribed on
the drums, emphasize the importance of environmental stewardship in urban
areas. This innovative approach underscores our dedication to creative and
sustainable solutions for a greener, more vibrant Urban Environment.
